Atlantic Canadian Indoor Paintball Championship [reference]

We want to thank all of the teams in Atlantic Canada that have helped to make the Atlantic Canadian Indoor Championship a successful event once again this year. It looks like we will be sold out well ahead of schedule. This year we are going to offer a 3-man Novice and a 5-man Amateur. In the 3-man we will be taking 14-16 teams, of which 11 teams are already prepaid and 1 team has their entry in the mail. In the 5-man , we will be taking 12-14 teams, of which we already have 7 teams prepaid and 1 team has their entry in the mail. Gary will be gone the whole month of February, so any other teams wishing to enter are to contact Roddy MacDonald at Spikespaintball.net or you can call him on his cell #902-393-1820. Gary will available Thursday, Jan. 29 and Friday, Jan.30 (3:30-8:00) and Saturday, Jan. 31 (10:30-3:00), and can be reached at 902-893-8377.

Once again we would like to thank all of the teams for their show of support. Here is the list of teams that have already prepaid.

(team list removed from message)

The 5 man event is $400.00 per team plus $15.00 per player for air and each team is expected to bring one referee (if a team is unable to find a referee/volunter their entry fee then becomes $500.00 rather than $400.00). Atlantic GT 2004 Series [reference]

Here is the updated info on the new 2004 GT Series. This will be the first year in Atlantic Canada that the GT will be hosting a five man and three man series all in one. After listening to player's views towards a five-man series, we, the GT Atlantic organizers, now feel that it is time to move forward with this new and exciting five and three man series.

The Atlantic GT has now set up a place for all Atlantic Canadian Paintball players to log on to www.gttalk.com. This web site is set up for all Atlantic Canadian players to view or discuss their views or opinion towards the GT in Atlantic Canada. This new web site will also be a great place to go, so you can see what is going with the GT in other areas in Canada and the US. Due to the number of different web sites in Atlantic Canada and the inability to check out each one daily. The organizers of the Atlantic GT will now only answer players questions on the www.gttalk.com web site. If you have a personal question towards the GT in Atlantic Canada that you feel is not appropriate for this web site you can always email me Mike Bourque personally at www.atlanticxtreme@hotmail.com. I will respond to your questions as quickly as possible. I hope to see all on this new and exciting web site.

The GT dates for 2004 series are as follows. The first event will be held June 5th with the second date being July 10th. The third event will be held Aug 7th. These dates are posted as an one-day event. The cost per five-man team will be $350.00 and will include all air fills at no added cost. The cost for a three-man team will be $150.00 again including air. Paint will be $100.00 per box of 2000. The locations for the series will be as follows: June the 5th will be held in Fredericton N.B at Wilson's Paintball, the second event will be held in Moncton at Atlantic Xtreme Paintball and the last event will be held at Splatter Zone Paintball in Beaverbank, NS.Please note that we will be organizing a supper to be held at the field Saturday after the last event and all players are welcome to attend.

The Canadian and the US GT committee are now discussing the type of prize structure to be handed out at each event. The GT organizers are committed to giving 100% of all players' entry fees back in prizes. The grand prize for the over all seed points will be over and above the 100% prize pool of the player's entry fees. The grand prize will be announced at a later date. The Atlantic GT is fully committed to lowering the entry fee across the board to make it affordable for all players to attend the GT in Atlantic Canada.

The GT will have two types of divisions in Atlantic Canada this year: rookie and novice. The three man will be a rookie division. The five man will be a novice division. Please log on to www.gtpaintball.com to check your team classification also check out the new 2004 GT ruling to see appropriate changes for 2004 season. If in 2003 your team played novice, 2004 the same level will be called rookie. If in 2003 your team played amateur, 2004 the same level will be novice. The GT of Canada and United States with the involved partners GT Quebec, GT Ontario and GT New York have decided to use the same ruling structure in all areas. The same entry fees will be paid in all provinces and states holding a GT event. The paint cost be the same in each province and state also.

Please note that entry fees must be paid in full one month before the first event and no later than two weeks before the two following events . No team will be allowed to play if payment is not made two weeks before the start of each event. Due to lower entry fees, we will not offer lower pricing if you prepay three events.

I would like to take the time once again to encourage all players to send us your views and opinions to our web site at www.gttalk.com. I hope that all these new changes to the GT series in Atlantic Canada will make for an affordable and exciting summer to come. See you there at the GT 2004.
