Third year in a row this event gets rained on.
This was my first time playing here and I must say Overkill has the nicest, flattest, squared, netted off field in Atlantic Canada. There was just not divits/trails/mud holes/nothing and the sliding lockable door at the end of the field was a nice touch. Hell even the gravel around the field meant no sloshing through mud. Unfortunately with the netting 360' around the field made it hard to shoot seven people in a five man game.
This being the last event of the year had a pitiful turnout in 5man. Six teams, two of which were throw-togethers. The field layout upon initial inspection seemed terrible but when playing wasn't half bad. The snake was the key, anywhere else near the 50 was usually dead man's land. And with only 3-4 refs on the field coupled with raining, overshooting was more fun.
This marks the end of the GT series for 2005 and rumor has it 5man as well. We may drop down to 4man or hopefully rookie will bump up to 4man. So all you sandbaggers who milked it one last time will need two more players.
